Practice Policies

Safety in the Surgery

Children should be accompanied by their parent or guardian. Please keep children by your side and ask them to speak quietly in the waiting room so they do not disturb other patients. Please keep children by your side in the consulting room. Their safety is the responsibility of their parent or guardian. Although we try to put out of reach any equipment that is fragile or dangerous, children can confidential_fileclimb or open cupboards.

Confidentiality

All consultations and records are confidential unless you give permission for the doctor to release information or the doctor believes that there is a serious risk to the health of the patient or others and the patient is unwilling to take appropriate action.  For example, a doctor has a responsibility to tell the DVLA about a lorry driver who has frequent fits and continues to drive.  Our leaflet explaining our policy on confidentiality is available from our receptionist.

Complaints and Suggestions

Despite our best efforts we sometimes fail to provide the service you want. If you are unhappy about any aspect of our service please tell

Dr Salahuddin or any of the doctors about your concerns.  If you wish to make a written complaint, please address your letter to Dr Salahuddin.  We will acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours, excluding weekends and bank holidays, and give you a full response within 14 days after completing a full investigation.  Full details of our complaints process are available at reception.
